Abdulkarim Alhassan has been selected as the Executive Director (ED) to supervise the Northern Operations of Jaiz Bank Plc, the largest non-interest bank in Nigeria.
Alhassan is anticipated to support the bank’s strategy planning and implementation as its new ED with the goal of promoting business growth and profitability in the North.
Before his appointment, he has worked as a Business Sales Executive at Lotus Bank in Lagos, Regional Manager and Group Head, Corporate Banking at Jaiz Bank.
Together with banking operations; commercial and corporate banking; credit packaging and financial analysis; international trade finance; customer service and relationship management, the ED North also had a wide range of experience in these fields.
He belongs to the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Institute of Credit Administrators (ICA), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and Commodity Brokers Association of Nigeria (CBAN) as a member.
Alhassan graduated with a master’s degree in Islamic banking and finance, a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance and investment, and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in management from Bayero University Kano (BUK).
