TAJBank CEO, Hamid Joda receives CIBN’s honorary fellowship


The Managing Director/CEO of TajBank Ltd, Mr Hamid Joda, has received the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

The honorary fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is the highest cadre of membership of the Institute. The 2022 CIBN Fellowship Investiture awarded 387 members from the finance and banking sectors of the economy.

At the CIBN investiture event in Lagos with the theme: “Bridging the Infrastructure Deficit: The Role of Financial Institutions”, awards were given in recognition of their meritorious services, commitment to professional responsibilities and valuable contributions to the industry in particular and the economy in general.

TajBank described the honorary fellowship as an affirmation of his commitment to upholding the required standards in the banking sector in Nigeria.

A banker with over 20 years banking experience covering Treasury, Business Development, Consumer/Retail Banking, Branch Banking and the Public Sector, Hamid Joda began his career at Niger Insurance Plc in 1999.

He holds a BSc in Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from the University of Maiduguri and an MBA from Bayero University, Kano. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Banking of Nigeria (CIBN).​

Mr. Joda is the Founder of TAJBank Ltd. He led the team to realize the vision of setting-up the second non-interest Bank in Nigeria.

Joda whose firm provide digital services particularly in the Northern region of the country, said there have been a huge adoption rate of its products. According to him, unlike the traditional bank, his company now engages in both trading entity, Leasing of services and product, Equities, Bonds and guaranty. Other banks cannot do this.
