A multilingual secondary school that would instruct students in both English and Arabic is being built by the Kwara State Government.
The project, which is situated in the Share neighborhood of the Ifelodun LGA, is expected to cost around N1 billion.
In order to launch the initiative, the government collaborated with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and the Kwara State House of Assembly through the representative of the Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, Owolabi Rasaq.
Prof. Raheem Adaramaja, the state’s chairman of SUBEB, stated during the groundbreaking ceremony in Share that the school, which includes boarding facilities, vocational and ICT centers, hospitals, and other facilities, is anticipated to be finished in a year.
He was grateful for the dedication of the IDB and the government representatives who contributed favorably to the project’s realization.
The project and other public facilities in the host community should be protected, the chairman pleaded with the locals.
For his part, Owolabi claimed that it took at least six months to obtain the state’s contract for the school.
The lawmaker appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his assistance while praising the contribution of the state government through SUBEB to the initiative.
In order to ensure that the project was completed as planned, he pushed the contractor to involve the community in their activities and pledged support.
The governor was thanked for selecting Share town as the beneficiary community by the Oba of Share, Haruna Suleiman, in his speech.
