I’m really happy to finally be at FC Bayern in Munich- Sadio Mané


Sadio Mané has been signed by FC Bayern from Liverpool. The German record champions and the 30-year-old striker have come to terms on a deal that runs through 30 June 2025.

Sadio Mané remarked, “I’m really happy to finally be at FC Bayern in Munich. We spoke a lot and I felt big interest from this great club right from the beginning, so for me there were no doubts. It’s the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, in Europe too. During my time in Salzburg I watched a lot of Bayern games – I really like this club!”

At the age of 19, Mané joined Metz in France and departed Génération Foot in his native Senegal. After stints at RB Salzburg and Southampton, where he won the Austrian Bundesliga championship, he joined for Liverpool in 2016, and in 2019 the club won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

He also had a significant impact on the long-awaited Premier League championship for the English giants’ in 2020. Mané won the EFL Cup and FA Cup last year in addition to finishing in second place in the Champions League and Premier League. 120 goals were scored by the forward in 269 competitive games with the Reds.

Additionally, he has made 89 appearances and scored 31 goals for the Senegalese national team since his debut at the age of 20. He and Bayern’s Bouna Sarr won the Africa Cup of Nations in the winter. Mané received the 2019 African Footballer of the Year award.
