The Hisbah Board in Kano State, commonly referred to as the ‘Sharia Police,’ has taken action against one of its officers for purportedly compromising and undermining the Board’s efforts in combating immorality and social misconduct within the state.

The Commander General of Kano Hisbah, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, announced this development on Tuesday during a press briefing. He disclosed that the dismissed officer collaborated with unscrupulous individuals to engage in immoral activities within the state.

Sheikh Aminu Daurawa stated, “We have dismissed a Deputy Superintendent of Hisbah, DSH, and have issued a warrant for his arrest. He colluded with hotel operators to prevent their establishments from being subjected to Hisbah raids during our operations. Additionally, we are conducting investigations into the activities of five other officers.”
