Lagos serves as both the main economic hub for all of Nigeria and a significant financial hub for Africa. The current metro area population of Lagos in 2022 is 15,388,000, a 3.54% increase from 2021.
Security wise, the city is considered a high-risk area for travelers, and you should be cautious on the streets and while driving. While everyone believes that Lagos is “Ilu Ogbon,” or smart city, Azeezat Adelabu, a student at Community Senior Grammar School in Ipaja, performed something incredible.
What did she do? On her way to school, Azeezat came across an android phone, picked it up, and handed it to her teacher. The latter then contacted the owner of the phone, who was frantically trying to find their lost property.
Being amazed that such a child still exists, the owner’s excitement was overwhelming.
The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District I, Agege, Barrister (Mrs.) Titilayo Solarin welcomed the girl and her parents to a celebration for their courageous act.
She prayed for her, then gave her a pleasant gift as a thank you for being so truthful. She accepted the financial gift from her parents while crying with excitement.
Other students should take this as inspiration. May Allah reward Mrs. Solarin for her superb leadership. Aameen.
