Osogbo Central Mosque is one of the largest in Osun State. The Mosque is located at the center of the town. Next to the central mosque is the Ataoja’s palace, oba’s market and the town hall.
The Mosque host regular Friday prayers with sermons addressing a lot of issues affecting mankind such as spiritual, socio-economic, psychological. Which expected to bring about a positive change in the entire Muslim community. The Central Mosque of Osogbo is where the king, Ataoja of Osogbo observes Jumat prayers. The mosque is led by an Imam who is equally the Chairman of all Imams and Alfas in Osun State.
The refurbished edifice is a masterpiece of architecture. The Asiwaju of the town, Alhaji Hammed Adewole Omidiran completed and remodeled the recent edifice of Mosque. Osogbo Central Mosque is the largest to be single handedly built and donated by any individual in recent history.
