Sheikh Al-Sudais Launch Smart Disinfection Robot at Masjid al-Haram


President General for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais inaugurated the Smart Disinfection Robot at the Grand Mosque on Wednesday.

The Smart Disinfection Robot at the Grand Mosque, works for (4) hours, with a capacity of more than (68) liters of water, and covers more than 2,000 square meters per working hour.

Al-Sudais said that the General Presidency works according to a clear methodology that depends on preparing the Two Holy Mosques and their system of services in accordance with the latest studies and modern international specifications to ensure that pilgrims and visitors have the finest experience when they arrive at the squares of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Presidency works to provide an experience in a manner that reflects the honorable and civilized image of the Kingdom in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their pilgrims.

Similarly, Sheikh Al Sudais commended the work of smart robots and modern technological means and their active role in improving the system of services being provided to visitors to the Grand Mosque in accordance with the latest international standards.

Last month, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced to have completed all preparations to receive Umrah pilgrims after increasing the capacity to 70,000 per day. The sterilization process will utilize 11 robots, 20 bio-care devices with dry steam, 500 sterilization pumps, 500 electronic soap dispensers to be provided and 250 fans distributed throughout mosque’s courtyards.
