The Executive Governor of Katsina state Mallam Dikko Umar Radda has approved the commencement of Hajj 2024 Pilgrims Registration and deposit collection through out the state, report said.
According to a statement signed by PRO PWBKT, Badaru Bello Karofi, the Executive Director of the board Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki disclosed this during a press briefing in his office today said the board received the allocation of 4,513 Hajj seat from the National Hajj Commissions of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He said intending pilgrims are to pay a minimum deposit of (₦3,000,000,00)Three million Naira at a start,and it is however expected that by December 2023 all depositors would be able to pay the anticipated ₦4.5million Naira deposit before the announcement of the final Hajj fares by NAHCON.
Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki who advised the intending pilgrims to make all their payments through a certified bank draft, payable to Katsina state pilgrims welfare board,Adding that the registration exercise is to be conducted at all the seven zonal offices of the board situated at Katsina,Funtua,Malumfashi,Dutsinma,Kankia,Daura and Mani on first come first to serve basis.
Kuki further said the 2024 Hajj registration exercise will be carried out under some provisional guidelines and the guidelines are available at all the registration centres.
The Executive Director who acknowledge the support/cooperation and assistance given to the board by the Governor of the state Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD urged the intending pilgrims to came out in mass to register before the deadline given by the National Hajj Commissions of Nigeria, NAHCON.
