An old Pakistani man who appeared in a viral video leaving Madinah has garnered the admiration of millions of Muslims worldwide for leaving the Prophet’s Mosque in Ramadan while dressed simply, without shoes, and with obvious emotion on his face.
In an unexpected turn of events, the man’s video went viral on social media, garnering praise for his understated appearance and connections to the obvious emotion on his face as he left the Two Holy Mosques.
The man, who is believed to be a shepherd from Pakistan, saved up money for more than 15 years to do the Umrah.
His sudden success has led to him receiving a large number of complimentary Hajj and Umrah offers from Saudis and Pakistanis, including one that was shared on Twitter by Turki Al Sheikh from the Ministry of Entertainment.
