The officers and men of Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and the Multinational National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) today celebrated the end of Ramadan in Monguno, Borno State, with other Muslim believers.
The celebration began with Eid prayers at the Kinasara Cantonment prayer ground, where muslim officers and men were led in prayers by Sector Chief Imam Captain Mohammed Habib Ilal-Amam for the successful conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan’s one-month fast.
Similarly, the Commander Sector 3 Major General Godwin M Mutkut hosted a Sallah luncheon for the officers and troops, and the COAS Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya presented an Eid-el-Fir Goodwill message to the officers and men.
Major General Mutkut urged the troops to redouble their efforts in the battle against insurgency in his remarks, as a manner of expressing gratitude for the Chief of Army Staff’s ongoing support for the troops in the Theater.
The Vice Chairman of Monguno LGA Hon Sanda Amodu, several Local Government officials, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force were among the dignitaries that attended.
