The Chairman of Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission, NAHCON, led a group to Saudi Arabia to meet with the new administration of Mutawifs Company for Pilgrims from Non-Arab African Countries, also known as Mu’assasa.

The visit was forced by the necessity to familiarize NAHCON leadership with the new set-up following the Saudi government’s decision to alter the establishment’s status to a business in order to improve service. It is envisaged that NAHCON leadership would have firsthand knowledge of the establishment’s new role in Hajj service delivery.

The opportunity to make advance inquiries regarding new preparations for the next Hajj in 2022 is also a highlight of the visit.
Mr Muhammad Burhan Saifuddeen, the Company’s Vice Chairman, welcomed the Nigerian delegation warmly at the company’s headquarters in Makkah.
NAHCON’s Makkah Liaison Officer, Uztaz Lamim Abubakar, his Special Assistant (Technical), Dr Danbaba Haruna, and his Personal Assistant, Alhaji Bunyamin Omowabi, are among the Chairman’s entourage.
