Brief Profile
Kehinde Oladeji (Slitz) is a proponent of youth and women’s empowerment. She owns the House of Zakiyyah, a women’s workwear line, and the Slitz Fashion Academy, which empowers young women like herself by teaching them professional dressmaking. Kehinde is a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow and a 2016 YALI RLC Fellow.
She is also a writer and a spoken-word poet, she has performed her poems on stages both at home and abroad. Apart from running a full-time job as a fashion instructor, Slitz also works as a Freelance Content Writer.
Slitz Fashion Academy
Slitz Fashion Academy is a fashion school that teaches young women how to make professional dresses using cutting-edge pattern drafting and garment production processes. Through on-site and online fashion design workshops, we have empowered over 200 women since 2017.
House of Zakiyyah, on the other hand, is a women’s workwear label that creates bespoke workwear.
