The Executive members of Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Oyo State Area Unit received with Joy, the confirmation to full Professorial Rank of our respected father and leader, Professor Abideen Olaitan Olaiya by the Governing Council of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). The MSSN Oyo State Area Unit noted this on 7th January, 2022 in press release signed by the Unit Ameer, Mallam Abdulkabir A’Yakeen.
The statement said, “His confirmation as a Professor of Crop Ecology is not coming as a surprise to many as he has been obviously a renounced field researcher, an expert in Ecophysiology and cropping systems of tropical commodity crops and food crops field management both home and abroad.

MSSN Oyo State Area Uni noted that, “Over several years, Professor Olaiya has carved a niche for himself by demonstrating an unrelenting effort in his Academic Excellence, Political Reformation and Moral Restitution in our beloved country, Nigeria.
“His service as a leader in various capacities (Vice president International, B-Zone Ameer, IVC Organizer, Area Council Ameer, Branch Amir, etc) in the Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (MSSN) for close to three decades would forever be glowing as his decisions and dedication has been a path to success and sustainable unity which the society enjoys till date.”
Furthermore, the Muslim student’s body said, “Notable are also his Islamic orientated impact in his several workspace: Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), Al-Hikmah Univeristy, Ilorin, Crescent University, Abeokuta and presently the Federal University of Agriculture, Agriculture (FUNAAB) to mention but a few.
“The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) is indeed the hope of the Ummah as the society have successfully impacted in human capital development, recording unimaginable giant stride in several field of professions whilst keeping our consciousness to Islamic faith, a dream many could never had imagined,” the statement added.
Professor Abideen Olaitan Olaiya
Born over fifty years ago to Sanusi clan of Oroye family in Oke Oluokun, Ibadan, Dr. Olaiya is a Professor of Crop ecology with specialization in ecophysiology and cropping systems of tropical commodity crops and food crops field management. He holds Bachelor degree in Crop production, Masters degree in Farming system and Ph.D in Pomology (Cocoa physiology.)

Similarly, another ambassador of Islam, Proffessor Khalid Olajide Adekoya of University of Lagos was promoted to the rank of a Proffessor recently.
