
An erudite and renowned scholar per excellence, Sheikh, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Bamba (BUK) died on Friday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness. The funeral prayer for the deceased was later held at Darul Hadith Mosque, Tudun Yola in Kano metropolis at 1.30pm.
Sheikh, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Bamba (BUK) is a native of Ghana and where he was born. After his studies in Saudi Arabia, he came back to Nigeria to teach at Bayero University in Kano. He is also known as Kala Haddasana.
Before is death, Dr Ahmad worked as a lecturer at the Department of Arabic in BUK until his resignation and went fully into Islamic propagation.
He spent his entire life teaching Hadith in Kano.
The late Dr. Ahmad of Darul Hadith saved Northern Nigerians from violent extremist Ideology in a popular debate in 1986. BBC Hausa noted in a report that he was almost 82 years old, he left behind 30 children.
May Allah forgive Sheikh Ahmad and grant him Jannah Firdaus.
