Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen is one of the prominent Islamic Organizations in the South-Western part of Nigeria impacting real Islamic ideology into people. Ameer Taawun, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, narrating his relationship with Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola in a statement, said:
“In the divine scheme of things, there is no coincidence, and nothing happens by accident. For me to love Rauf, it is not by mistake. It is because I am a builder and I can identify who a builder is. I am also a reformer, so I know who a reformer is. Rauf is a builder, likewise, a reformer.
As a reformer, he began by preferring the humbling and humble title of Ogbeni to the high-horse title of His Excellency. The Ogbeni title made him see himself as a common man. He spent 8 years as governor without a single house in Osun. During his reign as a reformer, he brought dignity to Yoruba race with Osun anthem, and the slogan, “Ipinle Omoluabi” which tells how we must behave in order to live a successful life.”

Ogbeni Rauf is the current Minister of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Nigeria. Before that he was the fourth civilian governor of Osun State. As Governor of Osun, he has focused on strengthening the State in the areas of agriculture, economic development, youth employment, education and security.
The Iwo born Islamic scholar further expatiate that, “As I built Ta’awun with my life, Aregbesola as a builder, architected the modern Osun with his life. He prioritized humanity above personal interest. He sacrificed his time to build the present Osun. To him, serving humanity is what he understands about the sole meaning of life and not luxuries like others.
So, what I saw in him is humanity which Islam preaches, and there is no moral value that is greater than that.”
According to Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen website, the organization was established on Monday, 21st February, 1994 (14th Ramadan, 1414) As at January 2000, it has its population are thousands. The reasons behind its establishment are: Muslim backwardness in education; Marginalization on Muslims and masses; Infringe on Muslims Right and masses right; Poverty among Muslims and masses; Low level of Education of Muslims; Low understanding of Religion.
