FG Appoint Dr. T.A Abdulhameed As Rector Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State

On Thursday, a statement, in Abuja, by the Ben Goong, Director Press & Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, indicate that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointments of Principal Officers and Members of the Governing Council for Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Moreover, the Chairmen and Members of the Governing Council of the affected Institutions shall be inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu soon.

According to him, Professor Dakas J Dakas was appointed as the Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State governing council while Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdulhameed is the Rector.

It also approved a take-off grant of N2 billion for the new Polytechnic from the “funding resources of TETFund for the provision of core facilities for immediate take-off,” the statement noted.

In February, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Ayede .The polytechnic sited in Ayede, Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State is set for commencement of academic activities October 2021.

The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, will better the economy and offer employment prospects for youth, increasing the economic strength and dynamism of Ogbomoso zone when it commences operation.
