Makkah And Hajj From The Past


Mecca is the spiritual heart of Islam, because the Prophet Mohammed received his first revelations there in the early seventh century. According to the Quran, the cube-shaped Kaaba was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael. Kaaba’s doors have piqued the imagination of monarchs and rulers throughout Mecca’s history since Abraham erected it and called for Hajj 5,000 years ago.
