AA Rano Donate ₦150 Million to Bayero University Kano


Alhaji (Dr.) Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, Chairman, AA Rano Group of Companies has donated a sum of ₦150,000,000 to Bayero University Kano.

The announcement was made during an event where Auwalu Rano, on behalf of his family and the Group of Companies expressed his support for the university’s development.

He said, “on behalf of myself, my family, and the entire AA Rano Group of Companies, I am pleased to announce a donation of ₦150,000,000 to Bayero University Kano.

“We are confident that the university will utilize these resources to enhance its academic performance, Insha’Allah.”

The Muslim Voice reports that Bayero University, Kano (BUK), honored Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano with an honorary doctorate degree at its 39th Convocation Ceremony.

Alhaji A.A Rano, a renowned business magnate, has touched countless lives through his philanthropic initiatives. He is not only an employer of over 7,000 people across his various companies but also a dedicated benefactor of education, sponsoring the academic pursuits of numerous underprivileged students.

The Bayero University Kano (BUK) is a university situated in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria. It was founded in 1975, when it was renamed from Bayero University College and upgraded from University College to University. It is the first university in Kano State, North-western Nigeria.
