Eid ul Adha; A Path With Clear Template

Laa ilaaha illa Llahu

Foremost of all, is the essence of giving major praises to Allah SWT who has guided us to the noble path of Islam, with signs and events that indicate the genuineness of Islam and the ideals of faith. Greater thanks to Him, for finally enabling us the privilege to see this auspicious day of Eid ul Adha, which has been anticipated for long a while before now. LiLlahi hamd.
Festivities of each kind, no doubt, has its own peculiarity, which can be attributed to the circumstances surrounding its birth, hence the different ways people go about celebrating/commemorating different festivities. Eid ul Adha, not as an exception, is an established time that definitely follows a clearcut path, with no complexities, which ultimately points to the gains of FAITH and the righteous actions that follow it.
Known is the origin of what led to Eid ul Adha. As much as it’s known, it should be taken to mind with the real and ideal dispositions to it, with reference to the events before, during and after it, in history. It’s a clear matter of concise template that should be deployed into our celebration, that with absolute faith – in times of ease and difficulties – there’s always a reward for every bit of faith we bring forth.
“Not their flesh, not their blood reaches Allah, but it is the piety from you that reaches Him.” Surah Al-Hajj, verse 37.
It is established that, a major part of Eid ul Adha, which entails ram slaughtering, speaks about piety that was birthed out of patience, gratitude and faith of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). This points out the need to follow this blessed template laid down by “The Father of The Believers,” in order to commemorate a festivity that will be largely hoped is accepted by The Almighty.
May Allah forgive the errors in all that has been said, forgive us all on our shortcomings, accept our Ibaadah during this time and beyond, and make us celebrate an Eid laced with abundant blessings that will be sufficient all through our endeavors, Aameen.
