Nigeria: Abdul-Lateef Mayaki, popularly known as Mufti Yaks, is dead


Muslim Ummah woke up to the sad news of the passing of popular Islamic scholar and motivational speaker, Abdullateef Aliyu Maiyaki, Mufti Yaks, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The Nigerian Young Scholar, our brother Mufti Yaks passed on 31st May 2024 at the Nigerian National Hospital, Abuja. The 20-year-old, Mufti Yaks, is the son of Hon Justice Muhammad Aliyu Mayaki, a former chief judge of the Niger state, north central Nigeria.

Mufti Yaks was very passionate about kids and children who find themselves in homes where there is no love and good family relationship. He was named one of the 4 Top Muslim Video Creators in Nigeria 2022 by The Muslim Voice NG.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwean Islamic speaker, Mufti Ismail Ibn Menk, broke the tragic news in a post on his Twitter (now X) account on Saturday.

Similarly, a former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, expressed sadness over Mufti Yak’s demise in a Twitter (now X) post.

However, the (Janaza) burial as scheduled was held yesterday at 10 A.M at Hon Justice Muhammad Aliyu Mayaki’s Second residence Fadikpe Dutsen Kuran Gwari Minna, Niger State Close Mahija School.
