Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim urged Arab and Muslim countries on Tuesday to stay “consistent and firm” in their demands for justice for the Palestinian people.
Underscoring the importance of ensuring that Israel receives “justice for all the crimes and atrocities committed against Palestine,” Anwar went on to say, “All parties also need to voice objections to Israel’s illegal invasion and occupation of Palestinian land, which is the main cause of this prolonged conflict.” Anwar’s statement came after he met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh.
Israel has killed over 34,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since Hamas’ cross-border invasion on October 7, which claimed 1,200 deaths and kidnapped another 250 people.

Pakistan condemned the use of fake news and deception during the Gaza war.
“We are witnessing this (disinformation) today in the Gaza war, and we have witnessed it consistently in the case of occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” said Munir Akram, Pakistan’s UN envoy.
“At the core of information manipulation, internet blackouts, censorship, and the use of special media laws by the occupation authorities is a sinister design to de-legitimize freedom struggles and perpetuate a climate of fear, intimidation, and violence,” said Akram, speaking to the 46th session of the Committee on Information at the United Nations headquarters on Monday, according to a statement.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s diplomatic mission, states that use false news and disinformation in “situations of foreign occupation” seek to silence the voices of people who are denied their fundamental freedoms, including the right to self-determination. Akram underlined the distribution of factual information, citing the current global scene typified by escalating geopolitical tensions and conflicts, notably the war in Gaza and the extended conflict in Ukraine.
