Bauchi Govt Gifts N10,000 to Civil Servants for Eid

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has granted a wage award payment of N10,000 to each civil servant in the state so that they can celebrate Eid-El-Fitr.

The approval is stated in a declaration signed by Mohammed Sani Umar Esq, Permanent Secretary, Establishments, on behalf of the State’s Head of Civil Service. “In his continuing efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the Civil Servants, His Excellency,

Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has directed the immediate payment of N10,000 to all categories of Civil Servants in both the State and Local Government Areas, as Wage Award,” the Permanent Secretary said in a statement.

“The gesture will provide additional resources to Civil Servants to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr in high spirits, in the wake of the unpalatable economic situation generally.”

The Head of Civil Service wishes to thank His Excellency, the Governor, for his tremendous support and urges the workers to return the gesture by re-dedicating themselves to their tasks in order to improve and consolidate on the gains reached thus far.”

Bauchi state is composed of 20 LGAs and its capital is Bauchi city. The state is bordered by seven states, Jigawa to the north, Taraba for 54 km and Plateau for 360 km (220 mi) to the south, Gombe for 277 km (172 mi) to the east, Yobe for 188 km (117 mi) to the north-east, Kaduna to the west for 32 km (20 mi), and Kano for 131 km (81 mi) to the north-west.
