Governor Yusuf Expresses Displeasure Over Ramadan Feeding Implementation

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has complained about how the State Ramadan Feeding Programme is being implemented.

During an unannounced visit to one of the centres in the Municipal Local Government Area, the governor expressed dissatisfaction with the food being prepared and packaged for the people. He claimed sabotage in the exercise and questioned the quality and amount of food he saw in comparison to the one allowed by the government.

Lifting a packaged food in a nylon, he exclaimed, “Look at this nonsense; who gave you the materials to cook? Do not allow me to come back and see this happen again. I couldn’t sleep because of the news I’d been receiving about this workout. “We will not tolerate dishonesty or mismanagement of public resources. It is important to stress that the monies granted for this effort are meticulously documented at each center.”

As a result, he asked his Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi, to monitor the situation and provide him with daily updates.
Although N6 billion was allocated for the exercise, several people complained about flaws in the initiative, which is intended for the holy month of Ramadan.

However, some have argued that the program was unnecessary and that the funds should have been directed toward more significant programs.
