Islamic Perspectives: Response to the one saying Yahoo Boys won’t entire Hell Fire – Imaam Faarooq Aleem Al-Egbaawiy

Response to the one saying Yahoo Boys won’t entire Hell Fire

All Praise is to Allaah.

Allaah, the Most High mentions in several verses of the Quran that He is the Provider and Sustainer of His slaves.

An example is the verse below:

“Indeed Allaah is the Provider, The Sublime Strong and Capable One”

Sūratu-Tūr: Verse 58.

After Allaah made it clear to His slaves that He is the Provider and Sustainer; He permitted them to seek for provisions and sustenance from His infinite bounties upon the land in order to sustain the existence of their souls.

In fact, Allaah prohibits exhibiting laxity in seeking provisions just as He forbids showcasing extremism in seeking for sustenance.

A person can exhibit laxity in seeking for sustenance by refusing to work to acquire resources through sticking to acts of worship.

And a person can showcase extreme acts I seeking for provisions through abandoning acts of worship in order to acquire wealth.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Oh You who have believed! Whenever the adhān for Jumu’a is called, hasten to the prayers and abandon trade; this is indeed best for you if you knew”

“And whenever you are done with solāh, spread out upon the lands seeking for Allaah’s bounties…”

Sūratul Jumu’a: Verse 9-10.

Meanwhile, Allaah who obliges His slaves to seek for sustenance commands them to abandon harām (forbidden) ways of gathering the provisions.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Oh People! Eat from what is in the lands that is halāl and pure; and do not follow the footsteps of Shaytān, for he is a plain enemy to you”

Sūratul Baqorah: Verse 168-169.

How does a person gather wealth through harām (forbidden) means?

1) By stealing:

Stealing could occur by either physical, intellectual or electronic means.

A case of stealing is the case of the Yahoo Boys, Corrupt Politicians etc.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said as authentically reported by the Scholars of Sunan that:

“There will be a time at the end of the hour wherein people won’t mind where their sustenance comes from, whether it’s from halāl or harām (as long as they are rich)”

2) By making false ownership:

Some people acquire other people’s wealth through false claims especially when they know that the defendant doesn’t have vivid proofs to nullify their fabricated claims.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And do not consume your wealth amongst yourselves in a false way…”

Sūratul Baqorah: Verse 188.

However, the issue of Yahoo Boys not entering hell fire is a mere logically evil description purposely proclaimed to cause misinterpretations and tribulations amongst the Muslims.

More importantly, Allaah will not mention Yahoo Boys in the Quran, though, He is aware of the outburst of fraudsters like Yahoo Boys at the end of time; so, only an ignorant one will expect Allaah, the All-Superior to do so.

Rather Allaah categorizes people based on their doings and their actions based on apparent indications to establish rulings and injunctions.

Consequently, Allaah prohibits the seeking of sustenance through illegal means and He along with this mentions the punishment of those who gather wealth through forbidden ways.

Moreover, as for the entrance of Yahoo Boys into Hell Fire, they are not saved from hell fire if they don’t repent from their continuous electronic fraudulent acts of duping people their wealth.

It’s incumbent upon the Muslims to know that Allaah doesn’t have another severe punishment for the transgressors other than the Hell Fire.

More so, there is a prophetic narration that mentions the ultimate end of anyone who dies owing people their rights, may it be, rights of wealth, rights of properties, rights of integrity (personality) and so.

It was reported authentically from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said to his companions:

Do you whom Al-Muflis [wretched/loser] is?

The companions responded that:

Al-Muflis is the one who doesn’t have any worldly enjoyment or glittering in his (or her) custody.

The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him then informed the companions that the actual definition of Al-Muflis is the one who is raised on the last day, having to himself credits of many good deeds, ranging from solāh (prayer), sodaqāh (charity), sawn (fasting) etc; hoping to be admitted into paradise.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued saying:

Unfortunately, people whom he has defaulted their rights which he didn’t fulfil, will come to claim those many credits of good deeds on the day of reckoning as a compensation for their rights which he trampled upon.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued that people will not stop coming (until this man who was raised on the last day with many good deeds), loses all of the righteous deeds he was meant to use to be admitted into paradise and ends up in Hell.

This hadīth is a clear cut evidence that Yahoo Boys will enter Hell if they don’t repent and turn a new leave because those whom they electronically steal from will come to claim their rights which may end up overwhelming their good deeds and causing them to be admitted into Hell fire.

Finally, Allaah warns us in the Quran regarding speaking about the religious issues without knowledge. There are seasoned Scholars to ask about our religious verdicts from.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Ask the People of Knowledge if you indeed know not”

Sūratu-n-Nahl: Verse 43

This is just as Muslims should be wary of whom they listen to and take religious verdicts from. Some are only blessed with oratory in speech while they unfortunately only possess little or no foundational knowledge of the Islāmic law and Jurisprudence.

And Allaah knows best.
