Social media platforms have given people and societies, the ability to renegotiate deeply held beliefs about religion and authority. Additionally, it gives young Muslims the freedom to express themselves, explore their hobbies, and build safe havens in virtual social worlds.

It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself to be a Gummie or Millennial Muslim. Regardless of age, the reality is that the internet and technology have fundamentally changed the way of life for Muslims in the twenty-first century. Real people have worked extremely hard to make life better for Muslims and other people.

Olubunmi Otufowora

Olubunmi Otufowora is a highly successful Nigerian entrepreneur, widely recognised as the founder and CEO of Boomsky Smoothies, a natural fruit processing company that produces 100% natural Smoothies and Juices.

Born on the 25th of June 1979 to a devout Muslim middle-class family, Olubunmi grew up in various parts of Nigeria due to the nature of her father’s job. Still, she is an indigene of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria. Her mother, Mrs O. K. Onabule, is a UK-trained nurse, and her father, Engineer M.O. A Onabule, is a retired senior engineer with the NNPC.

Olubunmi attended Federal Government Girl’s College Abuloma Rivers State, where she obtained her SSCE. In 2000, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Her passion for entrepreneurship led her to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.

Olubunmi’s career journey has been nothing short of inspiring. She began as a pharmacist at a teaching hospital, where she completed her NYSC. Later, she landed a job at one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunications firms. She became the head of a new department through sheer hard work and dedication. After fourteen years of service, she left to pursue her passion for smoothies, which started as a side hustle with a small capital but grew into a thriving business that she had to leave her job to manage full-time. Boomsky Smoothies officially began operations in 2010. Her story is a testament to the power of determination, hard work, and a willingness to take risks to achieve one’s dreams.

This is Sherifah Aromasodu-Adenekan, an Interior Design Expert and the Creative Lead of DaZees Furniture and Interiors.

She specializes in providing bespoke interior solutions that focused on contemporary designs, using her strong Experience in AutoCAD first. She makes space soothing to the eyes and relaxing to the body especially Homes and offices.

Before now, Sherifah had worked with Intercontinental Bank, Accenture and Airtel Nigeria as a Data Analyst. She has traveled to the United Kingdom on several occasions to expand her knowledge on Interior Designing and also worked extensively there, as a female, she finds Entrepreneurship very interesting.

Muibat Adesola Adeniran

Dr Muibat Adeniran; a board certified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (OBGYN) with over a decade experience in female reproductive health.

She is passionate about helping women achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness, with special interest in fertility management.

Dr Muibat received her medical (MBBS) degree from LAUTECH and completed her residency training in O and G at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Nigeria.

Currently, she practices both in a government teaching hospital and her own private hospital where she provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages.

Besides her clinical work, she teaches medical students at both under and postgraduate levels, does medical researches, content creation and she has published some articles. She also has few digital products in the making.

Most importantly, Dr Muibat is a Muslimah, a wife, a mother, and a strong advocate of women’s health.

Salmah is a Human Resource and Communications consultant, a certified NLP coach, a content developer, a Television programme presenter, producer, a writer, and an avid reader. She reads a minimum of 20 good books monthly. She graduated from Lagos State University, Faculty of English Education in 2000 and also has a MBA (Human Resource Management) from the same university.

Analysts (IIBA), The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Chartered Institute of Administration ((CIA).

She started her career with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in 2001. She rose through the ranks and after 16 years of works experience with the largest Television network in Africa, she voluntarily retired to her own private business.

She is a book, article, short story writer, and story writer for film writer, poetess, linguaphile, polyglot (her expertise in each language differs; Yoruba and English (Professional), Spanish (Intermediate), French and Arabic (Beginner), Hausa (less than one percent), and Portuguese (can only translate to English), literary critic and a researcher. AlJannah write based on the Islamic Perspective, the Social and Behavioral Science discipline, and Nigerian society, mainly the Yoruba culture. AlJannah’s hobbies are writing, researching and coloring.

AlJannah has assisted the less privilege by joining Hibnaan Foundation’s team, which is meant for helping Nigerians financially. Billyhadiat Taofeeqoh Adeola

Billyhadiat Taofeeqoh Adeola is a mandala artist passionate about social injustice. Before delving into mandala art, she found herself drawn to poetry and has authored the chapbook, “December Begins the New Year.” She is a contributor to the Africa Writers Series and earned a spot on the shortlist for the PIN Poetically Written Prose Competition.

While she doesn’t consider herself a poet anymore, you can find her handmade Mandala art on her instagram page @ Tawfiqah_ and as well as the walls of many homes both in Nigeria and abroad.
