In the region of Jigawa, the Kazaure Emirate Council has undertaken the distribution of Zakat, totaling an impressive sum exceeding N65 million, benefitting a substantial number of 9,838 less privileged individuals. This revelation was conveyed by the emirate’s spokesperson, Gambo Garba, during an interaction with the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse on the day of Saturday.

Mr. Garba elucidated that the Zakat, comprising a combination of both cash and grains, was judiciously dispensed among deserving families spanning nine district councils within the emirate’s jurisdiction. As part of this benevolent effort, a fraction of the monetary component was designated for individuals receiving medical care at Kazaure General Hospital, while whole grains and soaps were generously allocated to Kazaure Reformatory Home.

Within the communication, an emphasis was placed on the emir’s call for affluent individuals to actively support and contribute to the well-being of the vulnerable and less privileged in the society, with the overarching goal of ameliorating poverty within the area.

Furthermore, Mr. Garba reported that the emir advocated for parents in the region to diligently ensure the holistic upbringing of their children, urging them to facilitate the acquisition of both Islamic and Western education.

His stance included a noteworthy exhortation for residents to earnestly engage in prayers, seeking divine intervention for peace and sustained economic prosperity within the geographical purview, extending to the state and the nation as a whole. -NAN
