On Thursday, Memud Suliat Yetunde, a corp member serving with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Jalingo, Taraba State, with state code TR/23A/1025 has commissioned her Personal Community Development Service (CDS) Project at her PPA, Iqra Science Academy.
“I am thrilled to share an exciting initiative that embodies the spirit of social change and national development,” she said on the Social Media platform, Facebook. According to her, the NYSC State Coordinator was represented by Mr Bitrus Yakubu the LGI Jalingo Zone.
“I Commissioned My Personal CDS Project at my PPA yesterday, Iqra Science Academy, Jalingo by the NYSC State Coordinator proudly represented by Mr Bitrus Yakubu the LGI Jalingo Zone, Taraba State Nigeria!!”
Suliat noted that it’s the First CDS Project to be carried out by a Corp Member in Iqra Science Academy.
“At Iqra Science Academy, I have embarked on a mission that promises brighter futures for our young learners. As an advocate of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).” She explains,”As an advocate for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), I firmly believe that Quality Education is the cornerstone of positive transformation. Hence, I am dedicated to enhancing the learning environment of these students.”
“As a Serving Corp member, I embarked on a Community Development Service (CDS) project to construct ceilings for four classrooms, install whiteboards in eight classrooms, and provide 50 Qur’an reading tables, to shape the educational journey of these students, making it more conducive for learning.”
The aim is to provide a conducive learning environment for students; to provide perfect lightening in the classroom by controlling diffusion of light; to reduce noise pollution; to boost students creativity and encourage visible thinking; And to create an interactive effective teaching tool.
“AlhamduliLlaah, 88 Qur’ān Tables has been Provided for these Students to encourage their recitation and memorization of the Glorious Qur’ān with 3 Whiteboards to boost students creativity and encourage visible thinking.
“Thank you so much for your Support. A big Jazakumullah khayran to our great Contributors!! May Allah reward you abundantly,”she continues.
The estimated cost of this transformative project is Seven Hundred and Eighty-Nine Thousand Naira only (N789, 000). Though, she has earlier asked for donations from the public via her Facebook page to help with the gracious work in August, 2023.
“However, I am not on this journey alone. I am reaching out to you, to join hands with me in making this vision a reality. The estimated cost of this transformative project is Seven Hundred and Eighty-Nine Thousand naira only (#789,000). Your support, no matter the size, will play a pivotal role in creating an everlasting impact on the lives of these students.
“Your generous contribution will symbolise a collective commitment to education, growth, and nation-building. Please like and share, together, we can light up the learning path for these students and create a legacy of impact that resonates for generations to come,” she added.
