Kwara Governor Reaffirms Backing for SMEs as Muslimapreneur Hosts Second Trade Affair.


Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in reaffirming his commitment to strengthen small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and foster a more conducive business environment, addressed attendees at the second edition of the Muslimapreneur Trade Affair in Ilorin. The Muslimaprenuer Forum organized the event, highlighting a diverse array of locally crafted products and services.

Represented by the state Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf, the Governor emphasized that the thriving trade exhibition was made possible by the government’s efforts to facilitate business growth. He applauded the entrepreneurial spirit of the Muslimapreneur, particularly their dedication to promoting Kwara-made products both within Nigeria and internationally. The Governor encouraged residents to actively support and patronize these ventures.

AbdulRazaq commended their dedication to quality, acknowledging the Forum’s focus on natural products and their compliance with NAFDAC regulations. He attributed their success to the government’s initiatives aimed at streamlining business operations in the state.

Co-convener of the Trade Affair and CEO of Baytu Tejmeel, Hajia Fatimah Saliu Adejumoke, explained that the event’s second edition was organized to provide relief for individuals grappling with soaring market prices. She noted the participation of forty vendors offering affordable goods and services.

Adejumoke openly expressed her willingness to collaborate with governmental agencies and underscored her active efforts in establishing partnerships with relevant stakeholders. She conveyed her gratitude for the turnout at the event and voiced her hope for even greater participation in the future. She emphasized that the Muslimapreneur Forum eagerly embraces opportunities for cooperation and has proactively sought connections with entities like KWACCIMA (Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture).
