At Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Mrs. Balqis Bitinlaye (Balqis Yetunde Bintinlaiye), a native of Offa, Kwara State, has been recognized as the institution’s top graduating student. Last weekend, about 860 students who are wearing caps and gowns will graduate from Tennessee State University.
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, she graduated with a master’s in chemistry with a ground-breaking GPA of 4.0.
The Albert and Ethel Smith Scholarship Award, the Gale J. Clark Memorial Scholarship Award, the MTSU Chemistry Department Outstanding Graduate Student Award, and the 2021 Tennessee Academy of Science Award are just a few of the honors and accolades that Mrs. Balqis has already received.
Founded in 1912, Tennessee State University is a public university. There are 6,375 undergraduate students enrolled in total (fall 2021), the campus spans 500 acres, and the location is urban.
