Shamsuddeen Magaji Bello: A Nigerian Who Breaks Ohio University Record


Shamsuddeen Magaji Bello, a law graduate from Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto, accomplished an extraordinary feat at Ohio University in the United States and received a Masters of International Development Studies and Graduate Certificate in War and Peace Studies from that institution with a 3.96/4.00 GPA.

He also got the Leadership and Excellence Award and the Academic Achievement Award.

Shamsuddeen, a native of the state of Kebbi was also the African Students Union’s president.

He is happily married with one child, graduated from UDUS in 2012, but his academic accomplishments go beyond this outstanding record.

Among other important honors, Shamsuddeen had previously won the coveted Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship in Kaduna State and the Fulbright Fellowship in the US.
