The former Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs and respected Islamic scholar, Hon. Abdul-Hakeem Abdul-Lateef has been appointed as the Board Chairman of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
The Board of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has been reconstituted, and President Muhammadu Buhari has approved it.
Additionally, he has given his approval for the appointment of a few new members and the reappointment of a few current members to the Board.
On December 9, 2018, the most recent appointment was made.
Meanwhile, the new appointments and reappointments had become necessary “to avoid vacuum”, a statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning said.
