Human And People’s Rights: THURIST Outlined Future Plan For Coordinated Human Rights Activism


In a statement signed by the organization’s general secretary, Azeez Ridwan, the Ta’awunu Human Rights Initiative (THURIST) reported that it had yesterday, December 24, 2022, received activists from far and near who gave ultimate and optimum cognizance to human rights.

Legal Luminaries and Ministers in the Temple of Justice in this grand event of the Ta’awunu Human Rights Initiative for the year 2022, where they discussed many issues that, in the language of human rights, are of considerable significance.

“The first lecturer Barr. Pastor Caleb T. Akano doing justice to his given topic “why Human Right is so important” highlighted certain ingredients of human rights where highlighting some of it’s importance.

“Barr. T. Y Agbaje speaking on Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Nigerian Criminal Justice System as a needed union for the attainment of Justice explained a conceptualized view of Alternative Dispute Resolution while Barr. M. A Yekeen Speaking on the rights of a suspect highlighted the A to Z of what suspect entails and it’s view in the eye of the Law.

“Barr. Fathiullah Adegoke also explained the rudiments of Chapter IV of the Constitution on Fundamental Human Rights While Barr. I. A Kamorudeen handled a topic on Islamic State and the Nature of Human Rights.

“In appreciation, the Director General Ta’awunu Human Rights Initiative THURIST Barr. Sulaymon A. Tadese appreciate the presence of both participants and Lecturers, whom despite their very tight schedule spare their time to identify with the human Rights Group at the event.

“The Director General Barr. Sulaymon A. Tadese also expressed his profound gratitude to the organisers of the great event as well as the presence of the Grand Mufti of YorubaLand Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan and his heart-touching words of encouragement.”
