In the ancient city of Kano, Friday saw the opening of a Juma’at Mosque by Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s presidential candidate.
On Saturday, Kwankwaso posted images from the occasion to his Twitter account, stating that he had erected the Mosque in memory of his late parents.
He penned, “Yesterday,… I commissioned a Juma’at Mosque I built in honor of my late parents, in Kano.”

The Jummat Masjid (Mosque) named after his late father, Alh. Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, at Miller Road, Kano State.
Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, FNSE, FNIQS is a Nigerian politician who was the Governor of Kano state from 1999 to 2003 and 2011 to 2015.
