Nigerian Politician, Ibrahim Kurami Dies in Saudi Arabia


Hon. Ibrahim Kurami, a representative for the Bakori constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, passed away in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Ibrahim Aminu Kurami died in Madinah at around 2:00 a.m. Nigerian time after a brief illness, according to his political associate Alhaji Nasiru Danguga.

The lawmaker had travelled to Medina for the lesser Hajji. The Saudi Arabian authorities will conduct his funeral prayer and burial, according to Danguna.

He was survived by two wives, eleven children, and eleven grandchildren.

Following the passing of his predecessor, Hon. Abdurrazak Ismail Tsiga, a by-election was held on October 31, 2020, and Kurami was chosen to serve in the Katsina State House of Assembly.
