Hanifatu Mumuni: An Under 30 PhD holder

Hanifatu Mumuni (Hanifatu Napari Mumuni) is a Muslim from Ghana. Currently a teaching assistant at Tamale Technical University (TATU). Hanifatu was born in 1994.

She has a BSc in statistics from the University for Development studies and an MSc in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for mathematical Sciences (AIMS-Ghana) with an affiliation to the University of Ghana. The University for Development Studies has awarded her a PhD in Applied Statistics. Her study focused on growth models for software reliability.

Hanifatu mentors students at the Department of Statistics of TATU, offering them course material that has practical application in the real world in addition to career advice and other forms of professional support.

Her PhD journey has changed into a beautiful one thanks to Hanifatu expertise in programming languages like Python and Latex. She also have interest in employing statistical methods such as bootstrapping and Monte Carlo methods for performing computer simulations.

She is passionate about giving back to society, which has led her to organize and facilitate hands-on coding workshops for newcomers in her neighborhood and among online participants.
