On September 26, 2022, the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, Palestinian locals stand guard as Jewish settlers invade the Al Aqsa Mosque complex under Israeli military supervision.
According to witnesses, numerous Palestinians were beaten and made to leave the compound while others were prevented from doing so. At least two needed medical attention as a result of the attacks, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said.
Similarly, Sa’ed al-Kouni, a Palestinian, was slain by Israeli forces over the weekend during a raid in Nablus.
Anadolu Agency was informed by witnesses that the settlers entered the compound through the Al Mughrabi Gate and were guarded by Israeli military personnel while there.
The invasion occurs approximately a week after many Jewish extreme groups urged settlers to invade Al Aqsa during the Jewish holiday.
The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, is celebrated to recognize the creation of the world.
