The formation of a committee for the opening of an outpost of the Islamic University of Medina in Zamfara State has received His Excellence, the State Executive Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Bello Mohammed Matawalle, MON approval.

The members of the committee are listed in a statement by Kabir Balarabe Sardauna (Lamidon Kaura Namoda), Secretary to the State Government.

The Chairman of the committee is Mal. Kabiru Umar Maru (Chairman, Shari’ah Research & Dev. Commission) and Prof. Jafaru Makau Kaura is named the Vice Chairman. While Mal. Ahmad Ibn Umar Kanoma (Vice Chairman, Ulama Consultative Council), Mal. Auwal Khamis (Permanent Commissioner, Hajj Commission), Hon. Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau (Chairman, House Committee On Religious Affairs),Dr. Lawal Hussein, (Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs), Permanent Secretary, Min. For Religious Affairs,Permanent Secretary, Min. Of Education, Permanent Secretary, Min. For Higher Education, Permanent Secretary, Min. Of Justice, Dr. Yakubu Sanusi Gusau (Provost, Zacas), Dr. Abubakar Mohammed (Director General, Exco), Mal. Nasiru Usman, Mal. Umar Sharu, Mal. Ahmad Abubakar Maradun, Mal. Murtala Kantin Sauki, Mal. Atiku Sani Maradun, Surveyor General were members. The Secretary of Committee is Dr Jalaludeen Maradun Ibrahim (Deputy Chief Of Staff) and Dr. Ibrahim Lawal Maishanu (Dep. Director, General Services) is the Asst. Secretary.
