The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya-Muhammed Alebiosu on Friday presented Imam Alhaji Taofeek Atoloye as the new Chief Imam of the town.
The late Chief Imam of Ajase-Ipo, Sheikh Muhammad-Mustapha Suleiman died in August.
Ajase-Ipo is an ancient town in Igbomina-Yoruba land of Kwara State. It is one of the prominent towns in Irepodun Local Government Area of the Kwara State.
The town serves as a major junction for all other major cities and towns in Kwara State, Nigeria including Ilorin (Kwara State capital), Omu-Aran (Irepodun LG Headquarter), Offa and Igbaja.
