The refund excess payment to Pilgrims who participated in the 2022 Hajj exercise through the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja is to commence from next Monday 19/09/2022.
In a statement from the Director of the Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiru Danmallam noted that all those who paid above the stipulated Hajj fare would get refund of the balance through their individual Bank Accounts.
Mallam Danmallam indicated that all pilgrims who paid more than the Two Million Four Hundred and Forty Nine Thousand, Six Hundred and Seven Naira, Eighty Nine Kobo (N2, 449,607.89k) which was the actual Hajj fare for the year would get refund of the excess payment.
“Affected Pilgrims are to submit their original receipt of payment with account details to the Account section of the Board or to their respective area officers to process the payment.”
“Pilgrims who paid through the Hajj Saving Scheme or balanced their 2022 Hajj fare through the scheme would get refund through the Account they opened for the exercise.”
“Those beneficiaries without Bank Account should forward a letter authorizing the Board make the payment to the third party account, hence attach a photocopy of the means of identity of the owner of the account to credit for the refund.”
A total of one thousand five hundred and eighty four (1584) Pilgrims who participated in the 2022 Hajj through the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board are to benefit from the refund out of the 1993 Pilgrims that participated in the last Hajj exercise.
