AbdulRahaman Kolawole, a Brilliant Top JAMB scorer, Earns 3 A1s and 6 Bs in WAEC


Born into the Kolawole family, AbdulRahaman Abdulqadir Kolawole is a native of Kwara State’s Ilorin-East Local Government Area.

AbdulQuadir obtained three A1 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) scores, six B WAEC scores, and 312 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) points before graduating from the renowned Federal Government College, Along Oloje-Okoolowo, Ilorin, Kwara State.

A man asked the question on social media: “How are all these young scholars going to continue their studies when our educational system is failing them?”

JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said that only 378,639 of the 1,761,338 candidates who took the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations achieved a score of 200 or higher.

A total of 520,596 candidates scored 190 and above ; 704,991 scored 180 and above; 934,103 scored 170 and above; 1,192, 057 scored 160 and above.

Similarly, he noted that Adebayo Eyimofe an Ekiti State Indegene scored the highest mark in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with a total of a total of 362 marks.

He was followed closely by Ugwu Chikelu, an indigene of Enugu state who also wrote his UTME in Abuja. Ugwu scored 359.

Other high scorers include Igbalaye Ebunoluwa 357; Emmanuel Oluwanifemi 357; Ozumba Samuel 357; Olumide-Attah Ayomide 355; Lawal Olaoluwa 355; Dokun Jubril 354; Amaku Anthony 354 and Aghulor Divine 353.
