The opening ceremony for the Women in Da’awah (WID) National Annual Conference 2022 was place over the weekend in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State. WID is an umbrella group of Muslim Women Organizations involved in education, enlightenment, outreach and advocacy on women issues in Nigeria.
His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was represented by Mallam AliMamman Lau, and his wife, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri, Hajiya Maryam Idris Othman, and Alhaja Maryam Muhammad Gadauji, were also present.
The National Chairman of JIBWIS Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, Sheikh Dr. Mansur Sokoto, Sheikh Dr. Mansur Isah Yelwa, Sheikh Abubakar Mukhtar Yola, Sheikh Dr. Hassan Inuwa Abdul Hafizz Hong, Sheikh Dr. Adam M Abubakar, Sheikh Dr. Jameel Muhammad Sadis, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman, and other notable dignitaries attended the opening.
