As a result of technical errors, the Cultural Creative Art and Arabic Language Subjects of the current Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) have been canceled by the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
However, the Ministry declared that the previously written Cultural Creative Art and Arabic language will be rewritten.
While overseeing the BECE in five local governments within the Ibadan Metropolis on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Barr Abdulraheem Abdulrahman, made the announcement.
He claimed that 178 Students were present in the examination hall at Orogun grammar School while at Isabatudeen Girls’ Grammar school, there were 125 students during the monitoring.
Barr Abdulrahman also stated that the state Ministry of Education will review the teaching patterns of teachers in Public schools across the state to improve the knowledge of the students.
The entourage took advantage of the opportunity to keep an eye on the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) that was being administered in various schools.
Other institutions the entourage visited in the Ibadan city included Islamic High School, Basorun, and a few private schools.
The Permanent Secretary Mrs. Christiana Abioye, along with other top state Ministry personnel, was part of the entourage of the state Commissioner for Education.
