In the University of Ibadan, just next to the Chapel tarmac, lies the University of Ibadan Central Mosque, a site of prayer for Muslims. It has a large capacity of at least 2,000 worshipers. a unique monastic community. The lofty minaret of this spacious mosque is one of its main feature. The mosque include a civic centre and separate, nicely furnished libraries for men and women.
All Muslims are welcome to pray at the UI Central Mosque. Muslims gather there for congregational and daily prayers. On particular days, other activities related to Islam are also done.
