Philanthropist, Alhaji Ahmed Omidiran, Dies At 95


Asiwaju of Osogbo land, Alhaji Ahmed Omidiran, has died.

At the age of 95, the well-known business mogul and founder of the Presidential Hotel in Osogbo has passed away.

The death of Alhaji Ahmed Omidiran, according to a statement signed today by Taoheed Alimi, Information Officer, Fountain University, Osogbo’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Amidu O. Sanni, is a tragic loss to the Osogbo community and the state in general.

Alhaji Adediran would be greatly missed by the people of the state and the entire Muslim community in the state, Prof. Sanni added.

Allaahummaghfir li Alhaji Ahmed Omidiran warfa’ darajatahu fil-mahdiyyeena, wakhlufhu fee ‘aqibihi fil-ghaabireena , waghfir-lanaa wa lahu yaa Rabbal-‘aalameena, wafsah lahu fee qabrihi wa nawwir lahu feehi.
