A Nigerian renowned Islamic Scholar cum Shari’ah expert, Professor Abdur-Razaq Abdul Majeed Alaro has been named as one of the Ten Most Outstanding Alumni Of All Time at the Islamic University of Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Muslim Voice learnt that the award was presented by the governor of Madinah, His Highness Faisal Bin Salman AbdulAziz Sale Su’ud in the presence of the university’s vice Chancellor, Prof. Mamduh Bin Thanyan Aal Su’ud, as part of the line up activities to mark 58th convocation ceremony of the university.
Recall that, Professor Abdul Majeed bagged his LLB degree at the Islamic university of Madinah in 1993 with first class honors and he was once the head, African translation unit in the king Fahd Quran Complex, Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The other nine alumni, who were also chosen for the honor from various nations, include Dr. Ibrahim Jalo, the current ambassador of Sierra Leone to Saudi Arabia; Dr. Dhul-kifl Ibn Muhammad Bakr, the current minister of religious affairs of Malaysia; Ustadh Muhammad Bousitsh, the current ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Saudi Arabia; and Ustadh Muhammad Shahim Ali Sa’eed, a former minister from the Maldives.
