According to Prof. Sayed Malik, Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in Oyo State, 779 intended pilgrims from the state will participate in the 2022 Hajj.
At the state Hajj Camp in Olodo, Ibadan, Malik said this while presenting pilgrims with the necessary bags and other materials.
Prof. Sayed advised aspiring pilgrims to follow the laws and procedures that govern the Hajj in the Holy Land.
The chairman said that the first batch of the state intending pilgrims would depart Ibadan on Thursday for Lagos, where they would be transported to Saudi Arabia by 8.00 a.m on Friday.
