Saudi Arabia Donates N131 Million To 1,960 Orphans In Kebbi

On Friday, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s International Islamic Relief Organization, IIRO, distributed N131 million in allowances to 1,960 orphans in Kebbi State.

The International Islamic Relief Organisation, IIRO, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Friday, disbursed N131 million allowances to 1,960 orphans in Kebbi State.

Gov. Atiku Bagudu, who kicked off the exercise at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, thanked IIRO for the gift and urged the initiative to continue.

According to the Nigerian News Agency, NAN, the money was disbursed through the Islamic League’s Kaduna office.

The majority of the state’s population (80 percent) is Muslim, with smaller Christian and traditionalist minorities accounting for roughly 10% each.

Kebbi is the tenth largest by area and the 22nd most populous of Nigeria’s 36 states, with an estimated population of 4.4 million as of 2016. The state is known as “Land of equity.”
