Brief profile

Ayobami Mansurah Makinde is a bright, hardworking, and bold young lady farmer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in pure chemistry from the reputed University of Ilorin in Ilorin, Kwara State, in 2011. Mansurah is from Osun State, specifically Orile Owu, and was raised in Ibadan, Oyo State. She is passionate about people’s growth and well-being, and she volunteers in a variety of social service organizations.

She learned about business from her stepmother at a young age (age 9) when she accompanied her to her provision store in Agbaje, Agbeni, Ibadan. Despite the fact that both of her parents were business owners.

Mansurah has embarked into several ventures as an industrious lady while an undergraduate and graduate, including sales of Afrocentric handmade bags, unisex wears and underwears, watches, Kampala, locust bean manufacturing, baking, and so on. She is also a natural entrepreneur, a professional beekeeper, and the creator and owner of Kathrah Enterprise. She is the mother of two gorgeous boys and the epitome of a successful woman.

After an accident in 2012 during her service year that left her with partial paralysis of her right hand and a serious wound on her right leg, among other injuries, Ayobami decided to pursue business full-time. Honey was one of the natural medicines she employed for treating the deep wound, and the healing was astonishing, since she is a natural enthusiast. However, she had the idea of delivering the same answer she had discovered in honey to the rest of the world, and thus began her path into entrepreneurship.

Kathrah Enterprise

The business name Kathrah Enterprise was filed on May 31, 2016. The word “kathrah” comes from the suratul Kaothar, which means “plenty.” In other words, there is plenty of honey for humans to experiment with, whether for ingestion as part of a healthy lifestyle or for external or interior healing.

Today, Kathrah honey can be found in over 10,000 Nigerian and diaspora homes. There are already over 30 retail locations in six (6) states.
