Regardless of how you feel about social media impersonation, your online privacy, safety, and peace of mind are constantly at danger. Impersonating real individuals on social media is part of a bigger category called social engineering, which includes a variety of psychological manipulation techniques. The goal is to dupe victims into divulging sensitive information or acting against their better judgment.
Other legitimate uses of a brand or person, such as fan accounts, parodies or critiques, and information pages, differ from social media impersonation. To carry out their illicit actions, malicious actors use social media platforms to impersonate individuals and organizations.
It’s frightening how low individuals will go to destroy something they dislike. To make that crazy comment, a social media user changed his Facebook username (his real name, Joseph Eric Manji) to a Muslim, Hausa name, Haruna Danlami Auwalu, but he wasn’t smart about it, so some people went through his Facebook only to discover he’s a non-Muslim who posts negative things about Islam. He realized he’d been bursted and has since deactivated his account.

To incite religious conflict between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, a man named Manji Joseph Eric altered and changed his Facebook account to Haruna Danlami Manji.
During the week, Adejare Ibrahim conducted a background check on him. Manji Joseph Eric is one of the man’s two accounts.
The other is Haruna Danlami Auwalu, whom he has not been able to locate on Facebook. Perhaps he’s erased it. He modified one of the two accounts to Haruna Danlami Auwalu (A Muslim name) for the hatchet and satanic job, according to the report.

Ibrahim said, “As God will expose him, he uses the same pictures on the two accounts. I checked all his pictures on the two accounts. They are the same. They are herewith attached.”
According to his profile, Manji Joseph Eric is a Nigerian who is married to a Kenyan and resides in Kenya. He had stated a lot of horrible things about Islam in his prior posts on the Haruna Danlami Auwalu account.
He made the mistake of forgetting to erase them before presenting himself as a Muslim. His nefarious schemes have been exposed.
“You’ll never succeed! You can’t paint Islam red because Allaah is higher than you “another social media user states.
